Booking tools for tattoo apprentices

Get your requests out of the owner's inbox

You apprentice under a shop owner who takes a percentage. The shop's main booking page sends every request to the owner first, so your clients wait until the owner gets to them. CREW.INK gives you your own booking link inside the shop. Your requests come to you, and so do your deposits.

01 · Your own book

Getting on the books without taking over the book

The shop's booking page stays the owner's. That keeps them in control of the shop's book. It also means your clients wait while the owner works through everyone else's requests.

CREW.INK puts you on the shop's roster. Every artist on the roster keeps their own account, clients and flash. You get your own booking link to post, text and hand out at the counter. The shop's page stays as it is.

Your sessions still go on the shop's team calendar, so your owner sees them next to theirs and nobody double-books the room. If you use Google Calendar, it syncs both ways.

02 · The route

How requests route to you

A request reaches your book in four steps. The owner only sees it first if your shop turns on approval.

  1. Step 1

    A client texts your line

    CREW.INK
    Theo M.

Saw your blackwork sheet. Is #4, the moon face, still open? Forearm, any Saturday.

The text comes to your booking line, not the shop's front desk.

  2. Step 2

Your Assistant writes up the request

The Assistant turns the message into a structured request and drafts a reply.

  3. Step 3

The owner approves, if your shop turns it on

    Cal Brennan Approved

With approval-first booking on, the owner approves a request before any deposit is taken. They see what you take on while you learn.

  4. Step 4

    You send the reply

    Draft reply

Yes, #4 is still open. Saturday at 12:30 works. A $20 deposit holds it.

You review, edit and approve. Nothing goes out until you send it.

03 · Your flash

Showing your own work

Clients book an apprentice because they like the work. Your flash sits on your own account, not buried under the shop's.

Run a flash sale when your book is thin: drop a sheet, open claims, take deposits. Every claim and deposit comes to you.

Custom intake forms take reference uploads and 2D/3D placement, so a client shows you where the piece goes before you quote it. Every client who books you stays on your account.

Deposits that belong to the artist who did the work

A deposit taken on your link is paid to you. Card payments go straight to your bank, deposited daily, next business day.

Your owner still gets their percentage. The shop sets it in splits, and it shows on the owner report for each artist, each week.

Tips never carry a fee. They go 100% to you.

US-only for now. A deposit shows as paid when the client pays. The money reaches your bank the next business day.
