Who made what this week, artist by artist.

The owner report puts every artist's week on one page: what clients paid them, the studio's share, their tips and their booth rent. Close each day at the desk, review the week on Friday and hand your accountant a CSV.

  • Service volume is what clients paid for the work, with tips left out.

  • Studio share comes off it by each artist's terms. Take-home is what's left.

02 · Two deals, one report

Splits and booth rent, side by side

Maya and Nina work on a split. Owen and Rafa rent a booth for $180 a week. The owner report keeps the two apart, so nothing gets counted twice.

Renter terms read 100% artist · 0% studio. Their booth rent lives on its own ledger, and their latest rent record sits in their row: paid, due soon or overdue. Cash rent you mark paid only flips that record to PAID. It isn't counted in the day-close drawer.

PendingDue soonOverduePaid
The studio's week, Oct 24 – 30
Maya's split, 40% of $2,400$960
Nina's split, 40% of $1,800$720
Owen's booth rent$180
Rafa's booth rent$180
Studio total$2,040

The Studio share figure is $1,680, from splits only. Add the $360 of booth rent from the rent ledger and the studio's week comes to $2,040. 60% / 40% is an example; use the split you agreed with each artist.

03 · Tips

Tips stay 100% with the artist

Tips never carry a booking fee, and the studio never takes a share of one. The owner report lists them in their own column, marked paid whole.

  • Booth rent never comes out of a tip either.

Saves an immutable snapshot. No money moves. Later transactions do not change this statement.

Every artist gets the same six lines: service collected, studio commission, tips at 100% to the artist, rent allocated from service, rent still owed and artist earnings.

A session that isn't settled, or a cash drawer that's still open, has to be dealt with before the day will close. Rent that's still open comes out of the artist's payout at close, and any shortfall carries forward as rent owed. Close day saves a snapshot that later payments can't change. No money moves. Each artist sees the same day as their own Daily earnings statement.

  • Invoices. Nina's $250 invoice is finalized but unpaid, so it sits on its own line, Outstanding invoices, and stays out of every total until it's paid. Owed

  • Payouts. Each card payment is split when it's taken. The studio's share is deposited to the studio's bank and the artist's share to the artist's bank, daily, the next business day. Tips go 100% to the artist. A client's payment and money landing in the bank are two separate events, so the Payouts tab lists each deposit.

05 · Your accountant

Export for your accountant

Cal taps CSV and picks what goes in. His accountant gets one row per payment, with the split already worked out.

A folder of studio paperwork open on the front counter

The CSV holds the whole period, or just the ledger as you've filtered it. Each row has the date, client, artist, gross, studio share, tip, take-home and the client-paid booking fee in its own column. Print gives you the same statement on paper.

The report never claims profit or taxable income. Your expenses aren't in it, and it says so.
